When We Get Old
Dear Lord, when we get old we lose
our looks and we start fading away.
When young, we were concerned
about only what we will do today.

When the years creep up on us and they
surely do, 50 years, 70 years - we're old.
Then we remember all of the things we
used to do and the stories of life we told.

We are to live our lives one day at a time
not past or future - Lord that is your plan.
But, living out this life while our bodies fail
isn't always easy for us to understand.

We tend to forget that our lives here on
Earth are to last just  for a little while.
You are our time keeper, Lord, when my
face is wrinkled, I will think of you and smile.

Soon You will call me and I shall live again
by Your grace, I'll have a body given by You.
I will be in spirit form in Heaven,
I'll be praising my Lord, that is true.
