| There once was a man who carried a small Bible in his back pocket. On the job or on vacation, he always read. Many who saw him made fun, some scoffed and mocked it. The man smiled at them and kept reading - he was strong in spirit, but weak in his physical fitness. He prayed that the people who scoffed would one day finds Gods' love and they too would be a witness. A few more years went by and the man was unable to work and he seldom went out doors. It was all he could manage with help, just to do his daily household chores. Faithfully he read his little Bible and late one evening fell asleep - his thumb was on the Gospel of John Chapter 3 verse 16. The next day one of the people he had prayed for came to help him saw that the Gospel of John had been the last words the man had seen. A witness to the end, Amen written 2/16/2000 |
