Many of us measure ourselves by how much money we have
and how much we own.
That's the way this earthly life is,
our value is how large our bank account has grown.

That will do us no good though
on the day that we die.
We will leave this life and all we had,
we will have to say to it "good bye".

We must own something though
for the many years that we had to live.
Jesus owned nothing on this Earth,
but when died He did leave something to share and give.

It's the most precious gift that was ever given,
it was salvation from our sin.
Praise the Lord!  He gave His only possession, His life,
so when we die we will live again.

I measure myself now, not by my possessions -
but by how much I love my Lord.
Faith in our Savior has no price on it, it can't be purchased..
The price was already paid -  that only Jesus could afford.
