My Strong Dad
The Lord knew I would need a strong
Dad and He gave one to me.
Nothing ever got my Dad down -
he was tough as nails for all to see.

Some of my friends were a little afraid
of my strong Dad and also his wit.
But they had no reason to be, and they
learned things they would never forget.

Like the time one of them brought over
his bike with the handle bars bent into.
Dad went to work on them - in just
a little while they were good as new.

Yes, the Lord blessed the whole household
when He put my great Dad there.
And how everyone loved Dad for always
treating them kind and fair.

I have children of my own now, and my
Father is a wonderful Grandad to them.
My kids are learning from Dad as I did,
it is a real good deal to see it happen again.
