Dad's Coffee Cup
Dear friends,  I pray you had a
great Dad as you grew up.
One that would let you sip some coffee
out of his big cup.

I don't know what the magic age
to have your own cup is - but I got one.
I'm pretty sure Dad and Mom talked it over
there was a cup with the words" To a Good Son."

Guess I was 15 or 16 (just kidding)
cause by then my interests were girls, cars and a beer.
Dad sternly told me; "DUI means I keep the keys 6 months
if you get a girl 'in trouble' you're out of here"

Dad signed for my new '66 GTO
What he said about girls never left my mind.
The Lord blessed me with my Dad for 35 yrs
full of love all the time.

When he died it felt like I cried enough to have filled his
coffee cup with my tears - maybe even more.
I know he is in Glory Land
met by Saint Peter at the door.
