Call Me Dad
Oh Lord, thank you for a wonderful Dad,
as he liked to be called, everyday.
Father, Pop, Poppa, or old man
were not names you would say.

My Dad was kind and forgiving, but that didn't
keep me from getting my share of his belt.
And now when spanking my children
I know how he must have felt.

My Dad was the best Dad in the
whole wide world that's for sure!
He took me fishing and hunting
in unspoiled woods and waters pure.

Oh! How I cherish those days!  The Lord
gave me a Dad who surely was the best.
I tell you, my friends,
even til this very day I am blessed.
